November 09. 2014 2:00AM Donald J. Kinderman Donald J Kinderman, 78, of Central Point, Ore. passed away Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2014 at his home and surrounded by family. He was born September 22, 1936 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Gus and Mabel Kinderman. Don was the owner/operator of Jedd-Co Steel, Inc. in Northern California for over 35 years before retiring in Oregon. It was in Oregon that he founded and built Agate Ridge Vineyard. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. Don is survived by his long time companion, Diane Walsh; daughter, Kim Kinderman; son, Greg Kinderman; grandchildren, Alexandria Lukaris, Ashley Cates, Ella Kinderman, and Garrett Kinderman; great-granddaughter, Charliann Young; siblings, Shirley Hanson, Jerry Kinderman, Donna Johnson, Jim Kinderman and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elna Kinderman; mother, Mabel Kinderman; father, Gus Kinderman and brothers, Ken Kinderman and Allen Kinderman. A funeral and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Perl Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Graunke will officate. Arrangements are by Bret Benzley, Funeral Director, Perl Funeral Home.
