Will that portion be opened while the work continues on the other section? — Diana G., Medford   While the work on Lozier Lane is not expected to be completed before the end of November 2018, the work being done between Prune and Main Street is supposed to be finished this second week of December. And yes, that means it will be reopened as construction moves to the next section. Cory Crebbin, director of the Medford Public Works Department, said the closure wasn't ideal but that it ended up being cheaper for the city to demarcate a detour rather than pay traffic control to keep a lane open. The budget for the project is $2.8 million. The road belongs to the county, but the reconstruction project is a coordinated effort between the city and county, also for cost-efficiency, Crebbin said. Increasing safety — by adding sidewalks and bike lanes — is a main priority.
