October 26. 2014 2:00AM James Luther Hinds, Jr. James Luther Hinds, Jr. (Jim) passed away October 21, 2014 in his trailer at the family hunting camp. Born July 16, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif. to J. Luther Hinds and Louiz May Fowler Hinds. His brother Robert C. Hinds was born two years later. Jim graduated in 1956 from Santa Monica High (SAMOHI) and attended city college for a year. On October 16, 1959 in Santa Monica, Calif. he married Linda Lee Bruhn, and had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Jim had various jobs, but retired as a truck driver. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge #2480 in Shady Cove, Ore. Jim leaves behind his wife, Linda; sons, Andy and Scott (Cheryl); daughter, Shari Tarvin (Thayer); and brother, Robert Hinds (Marilyn) and his family. No services will be held at his request.
