Update: Ukrainians Come Out of the Darkness By John Stoeckl Updated: May 02, 2022 04:02 PM A A It’s been two months since 1,000 Ukrainian civilians have been taking refuge in the 4 square miles of tunnels beneath the steel plant in Mariupol, Ukraine, the last stronghold in the city. 100 of them were able to evacuate during a cease fire Sunday, with more coming out of the darkness Monday. Local reporter got to participate in a “Burn to Learn” fire fighting program. Some Covid-19 testing centers are shutting down.
