Allred climbs to third place with 68 Nov 17, 2011 12:00 AM A A HUMBLE, Texas — Jason Allred shot a 4-under-par 68 with six birdies to finish tied for third place during second-round play in the second stage of the PGA Tour Q School Wednesday. Allred, an Ashland product who lives in Scottsdale, Ariz., birdied four holes on the front nine. He sits three strokes behind leader Kevin Kisner, who also recorded a 68 in the 75-player field on the Members Course at Redstone Golf Club Wednesday. Allred, who is tied with Jose Toledo, double-bogeyed hole No. 7. He is attempting to earn a return trip to the PGA Tour, on which he played in 2005 and '08. Allred fired a 67 in the opening round Tuesday. The four-round stage continues through Friday. Allred tees off at 10:15 a.m. Eastern today on the first hole with playing partners Doug Barron — who is in second with a 133 total — and Kisner.
