Edwards wins SOC gathering photo by Drew Fleming CENTRAL POINT � Ashland High�s Paris Edwards continued her dominance by taking the Southern Oregon Conference pre-district girls cross country race by nearly two minutes on Thursday at the Jackson County Expo. Edwards registered a time of 18 minutes, 13 seconds over the 5,000-meter course, while second-place Sarah Piazza, South Medford, finished in 20:12. With defending district and state champion Klamath Union�s runners prepping for a Saturday meet in North Carolina, Chris Roberts, of Roseburg, topped the boys with a 16:23 mark, while South Medford�s Shaun Olson finished second in 16:36. The Panthers took the top spot as a team with 43 points and the Ashland girls finished first with 52.
