Officers went to a home in the first block of Talent Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Sunday when an armed robbery was reported, Talent police said in a news release. A young couple who lives there told police that four black men, all about 6 feet tall, came into the home, Talent Police Chief Bob Rector said. Three of the men wore nylon stockings over their heads, police said. One man carried a black long-barreled revolver. The robbers forced the residents to the floor, then led one of the residents to a back room used for storage. The suspects took items and cash from the room, police reported. No one was injured, police said. Police declined to release details about the items taken. Rector said investigators are "looking very closely" at possible connections to drugs in the case. A dark-colored Lincoln Town Car or similar vehicle might be associated with the robbery, investigators said. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department and police departments from Phoenix, Ashland and Medford assisted Talent police in the investigation. A Medford police dog helped with a search of the area. Officers spent Monday continuing the interview and investigation process, Rector said. "This is obviously a very serious crime and we are doing everything we can," he said. Police ask anyone with information on the case to call Talent police at 535-1253 or the dispatch center at 776-7206.
