Medford police on Monday added charges of identity theft, third-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card to Jackson, who was already lodged at the Jackson County Jail. She was previously lodged on May 17, and remained in jail without bail. Theft — Steven Ray Kummerfeld, 43, no address available. Medford police on Monday added charges of first-degree theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle to Kummerfeld, who was lodged Saturday in the Jackson County Jail on a charge of probation violation. He remained in the jail on a no-bail hold. Drugs — Cassandra Nicole Berry, of the 100 block of Bayberry Drive, Medford. Berry made her initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of amphetamines. She was processed at the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on her own recognizance. Crime reports Theft — 3300 block of South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies took a report at 6:38 a.m. Monday of the theft of $2,000 worth of miscellaneous items from a vehicle. Car theft — First block of North Fir Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 12:33 a.m. Monday of the theft of a Ford Ranger pickup valued at $5,000. The vehicle was later recovered, police said. Advertisement Theft — 4800 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies took a report Monday of the theft of $1,200 worth of miscellaneous items from several vehicles, police said. The break-ins and thefts were reported at 9:10 a.m. Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 80 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its court-ordered cap of 190 inmates. Of those, 32 were released before their scheduled court appearances, none were granted an early release from their sentence and 48 were released for other reasons.
