Thursday, October 9, 2014. Marc was born March 31, 1952 in Winslow, Ariz. Marc was an only child who spent his youth in Kanab, Utah and Lakeview, Ore. where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Marc attended the University of Oregon and then aviation school. After many years and jobs that took him around the country, he began working and helping his mother with her business, Claudine's, doing upholstery and draperies, and recently retired to care for his family. Marc enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, boating, camping, working on cars, raising Dobermans, and spending time with his children. His love of the outdoors and great love for his daughters was apparent to all who knew him. Marc meant the world to his family. He had a great sense of humor and found enjoyment in everything he did. Marc was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed. Marc married Michele Stephanie Merriman in Jonesboro, Ark. in August, 1989. They had two children, daughters Megan and Monique. Marc and Michele were divorced in April, 1998. Marc was preceded in death by his father, Melton Lee Sprang. He is survived by his mother, Claudine Helene Sprang, 87 who was with him at their home when he passed away, and by his two daughters, Captain Megan Etta Sprang, 29, who is stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. and Monique Michele Sprang, 20, who lives in Medford, Ore. Please join us as we remember Marc and celebrate his life. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at The Church on the Hill, 400 Stevens Rd, Eagle Point, Ore. Please join us after the service to visit with the family at 450 Mt. Castle Dr, Eagle Point, Ore. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Boy Scouts of America. If you would like to send flowers, please use Heaven Scent Flowers in Eagle Point, 541-826-2536, to ensure proper arrival at the service.
