An Oregon State Police trooper Tuesday arrested Laxton on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $15,000 bail. Theft — Travis Vincent Paul Epping, 28, of the 100 block of Ingalls Lane, Wilderville. Epping appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Assault — John Francisco Aranda, 26, of the 900 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Aranda on a charge of fourth-degree felony assault. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $5,000 bail. Assault — Francisco Santillan-Guerrero, 35, of the 2700 block of Falcon Road, White City. A sheriff's deputy Tuesday arrested Santillan-Guerrero on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, strangulation and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $12,000 bail. u Drugs, auto theft, elude — A sheriff's deputy arrested Robin Lee Workman, 48, of Sams Valley, Tuesday morning after a brief chase across north Medford. The deputy spotted Workman near the intersection of Highway 238 and Sage Road in a stolen 1989 Toyota pickup with license plates stolen from another car. Workman fled and the deputy pursued him, forcing him into a ditch on Berrydale Avenue, near Railroad Park. He was jailed on charges of possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized use of a vehi cle, attempted unauthorized use of a vehicle, felony attempting to elude police in a vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief, and probation violation. Sex offender — Verde Bailey, 44, of the 800 block of South Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police Saturday arrested Bailey on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $5,000 bail. Warrant — Gary Eugene Orr, 25, of the 100 block of Kirby Avenue, Cave Junction. Medford police Saturday arrested Orr on an out-of-county warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $10,000 bail. Burglary — Craig Allen Williamson, 29, no known address. Gold Hill police Saturday arrested Williamson on charges of second-degree theft and first-degree attempted theft. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $9,000 bail.
