One dead following rollover crash near Sams Valley Thursday Oct 19, 2017 at 10:22 AM Oct 19, 2017 at 11:26 AM A man died Thursday morning in a rollover crash at the intersection of Highway 234 and Ramsey Road, which is northeast of Gold Hill and just outside Sams Valley. // // // The crash occurred at 8:30 a.m., according to emergency dispatch records. The male victim, whose identity has not yet been released pending next-of-kin notification, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, according to Jackson County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Julie Denney. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only one in the vehicle, police said. "The crash is still under investigation and more info will be released later today," Denney said. In a post from the sheriff department Twitter account, officials warned drivers to avoid the area.
