A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Davis late Wednesday on charges of felony fourth- degree assault, felony driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of intoxicants, and third-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Thursday night on $100,000 bail. Robbery — James William Revier, 38, no address listed. Medford police arrested Revier on Thursday on charges of third-degree robbery, second-degree theft, conspiracy to commit second- degree theft and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Thursday night on $16,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 200 block of Access Road, Gold Hill. A sheriff’s deputy took a report of a theft from a field of a pump and sprinkler valued at $600. Burglary — 1000 block of Tolman Creek Road, Ashland. Ashland police took a report of a theft of food from a locked refrigerator at the Bellview Grange. The burglar caused about $75 worth of damage to the fridge. Fire calls Car fire — Tolman Creek Road, Ashland. Jackson County Fire District No. 5 firefighters quickly quashed a car fire about 9:45 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle reportedly had been overheating when it stopped under a large pine. A fire that started in the engine compartment destroyed the vehicle, but fire district and Oregon Department of Forestry crews kept it from spreading to the tree and surrounding brush, fire officials said. Advertisement Grass fire — Jackson County Sports Park, 6900 Kershaw Road, White City. A stray bullet that struck a rock likely sparked a grass fire that burned about a quarter- acre behind the rifle range at the county sports park, fire officials said. The fire was reported at 11:51 a.m. Thursday. Crews from Jackson County Fire District No. 3 and the Oregon Department of Forestry quickly corralled the fire, which didn’t damage any park facilities.
