Ashland man charged with offering juvenile money for sex By Mail Tribune staff Jul 01, 2020 03:42 PM A A An Ashland man is accused of luring a minor for sex, and Ashland police believe more victims could be out there. Benjamin Jordan Harvey, 33, is charged with luring a minor and purchasing sex with a minor after he allegedly “reached out to an underage member of the community and offered money in exchange for sex,” according to a Wednesday press release issued by Ashland Police Department. An Ashland police detective arrested Harvey on Tuesday afternoon. The release and court records do not divulge the victim’s gender or age, or in what way Harvey allegedly solicited the juvenile, but police said the victim reported the incident to police. Ashland police said they want to hear from anyone else in the community who “may have been contacted by Harvey with similar illegal requests.” Anyone who may have information about the case is asked to call Ashland police at 541-488-2211.
