Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend February 5, 2006 South surprises unbeaten Ashland Hockey Roundup South Medford knocked off previously undefeated Ashland 5-3 in Southern Oregon League hockey Friday at The RRRink. South’s Luke Mensik scored two second-period goals, giving the Panthers a 4-2 lead. Ashland suffered its first loss in five games, while South Medford won for the first time after four loses. South Medford also got a pair of goals and an assist from Jared Adamson, and Kevin Weber added on goal and two assists. Ashland received goals from Stephan McLaughlin, Tiffany Schoonover and Josh McLaughlin. Ashland goalie Mark Rasmussen stopped 14 shots, while South keeper Johnathan Adamson had 13 saves. Gianni Assam paced North Medford (3-3) with four goals and an assist, and Sam Jossie had a goal and two assists. Goalie Alex Orr stopped 37 shots on 48 attempts.
