Hesia lands first-team all-state nod Junior guard Levell Hesia of Mazama was the lone Skyline Conference player named first-team all-state for Class 3A boys and girls basketball. North Valley senior guard Malloree Enoch was the highest representative among Skyline girls, earning a third-team nod. Hidden Valley senior wing Jennifer Bain, the co-Skyline player of the year with Enoch, received honorable mention. For the boys, Illinois Valley's Justin Graven, a senior guard, and Daniel Houston, a senior forward, were received honorable mention. Hesia, a 5-foot-7 star who led the state in scoring at more than 28 points per game, powered the Vikings to the Skyline championship and a 20-4 season. In addition to his sensational scoring, he averaged seven assists and 3.5 steals per outing. He was named the Skyline player of the year.
