Boy still comatose after 40-foot drop from cliff The 13-year-old boy who fell 90 feet down an embankment near Mill Creek Falls outside of Prospect remains in a light coma but is making progress in his recovery Jeremy Graves was upgraded from critical to serious condition earlier this week. His mother, Tonia Graves, said he has continued to show signs of improvement. "He looks really good," she said. "We're very, very pleased with his progress." Brain swelling, doctors' primary concern, has decreased, Tonia said. She also said it is too early to assess if his brain has been damaged. Doctors removed a respirator that was helping Jeremy breathe Thursday. He is still unable to eat. Jeremy is no longer under sedation but sleeps around the clock, Tonia said. He follows directions when he's awake but usually falls back asleep after a few minutes "He needs sleep so his brain can heal," she said. Jeremy fell Monday when he lost his footing on an unofficial forest trail near Mill Creek Falls. He slid down a slope 30 feet, rolled another 20, then dropped off a ledge and fell 40 feet face-first into the boulders below.
