Job fair set for new Hilton Thursday Oct 13, 2016 at 3:17 PM Oct 13, 2016 at 3:17 PM A new, four-story, 120-room Hilton Garden Inn in Medford is projected to open Dec. 1.  A job fair for the hotel is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Homewood Suites, 2010 Hospitality Way, next door to the Hilton Garden Inn. General Manager Paul Schmidt anticipates filling from 30 to 40 positions, including sales coordinator, food and beverage manager, maintenance, housekeeping supervisor, cook, bartender, restaurant servers, front desk clerk and night auditor.   Ashland Pub Talk set for business startups The initial Launch Ashland Pub Talk for area business startups is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct., 18, at Standing Stone Brewing Co. A panel of local Angel Investors will offer experiences and insights for the benefit of entrepreneurs or potential investors. Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc., the city of Ashland, Southern Oregon University and the Small Business Development Center are collaborating on the project. Appetizers, coffee and tea will be provided.
