Wright, Covert Zeve named league MVPs Nov 11, 2015 12:00 AM A A Ashland water polo players Vincent Wright and Amelia Covert Zeve were named the Class 5A/4A Southern Conference most valuable players after recent voting by coaches. Natalie Del Carlo earned girls coach of the year honors for the Grizzlies (6-0). The Ashland girls first-teamers were Covert Zeve, Rose Eschtruth-Harrison, Laurel Tappert, Fiona Johnson and Izzy Nicolier. Wright, a goalkeeper, made the first team, along with Devon Lancaster and Luke Abell for the Ashland boys (8-0). Erik Oline received second-team acclaim.
