Foley fares well at Div. III swim championships Former Ashland High swimmer Adam Foley competed in three events at the NCAA Division III championships Thursday through Saturday at the University of Miami-Ohio in Oxnard. Foley, a sophomore at the University of Redlands in Southern California, earned honorable mention All-American status in the 1,650-yard freestyle Saturday. He placed 16th with a time of 16:08.76, nearly eight seconds better than his qualifying time. In other events, Foley was 17th in the 200 free on Friday, clocking 1:42.76, and 24th in the 500 free Thursday in 4:39.02.
