City continues to offer child care during strike Feb 12, 2014 12:00 AM A A The Medford Parks and Recreation Department is continuing to offer child care during the Medford School district teachers' strike, and will operate each day of the strike until a resolution is reached. Two sessions will be available daily at the Santo Community Center to accommodate both morning and afternoon students, with session 1 operating from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and session 2 running from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each session will be led by camp staff and limited to 20 students. The cost to register is $10 per session (or $20 per day), with sign-ups taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations may be made by calling 541-774-2400 or online at playmedford.com by searching for the "We're Here for You" camps.
