Bear Creek parent firm promotes Bill Ihle Bill Ihle has been named senior vice president of corporation relations for Yamanouchi Consumer Inc. (YCI), the company that owns Medford-based Bear Creek Corp. and Harry and David. In his new job, Ihle will be responsible for the overall corporate relations for each of the Yamanouchi companies, including public, community and government affairs. Ihle will report to Bill Williams, president and chief operating officer of YCI in Pleasanton, Calif. Another Bear Creek executive, Bob Johnson, was promoted to a job with the parent company. Johnson was named senior vice president of financial and strategic planning for YCI. He will coordinate financial and strategic planning for YCI�s portfolio of companies and serve as financial liaison to Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. YCI is a subsidiary of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical. Ihle joined Bear Creek in 1997 an most recently served as senior vice president of corporate relations for Bear Creek. He was previously a spokesman for the governor of California and has held key public relations positions with several large health-care corporations. Since joining Bear Creek in 1990, Johnson has held a number of key positions. Most recently, he was senior vice president of financial and strategic planning. Before that, he was budget manager for Los Angeles-based aerospace company Northrop Grumman Corp.
