Fundraiser set up for pastor who was robbed By Buffy Pollock Updated: Aug 30, 2022 05:30 PM A A Pastor Deborah Tyler's trailer and possessions were stolen two days after she moved to Medford. [Andy Atkinson / Mail Tribune] A newcomer to the Rogue Valley whose travel trailer was stolen last week has been embraced by her new community with offers of help and contributions to a GoFundMe campaign. Deborah Tyler, Medford Congregational UCC interim pastor, drove here from Kewaskum, Wisconsin, to start an 18-month commitment to her new church. Two days after her arrival, Tyler’s 2016 Gulf Stream ‘Conquest’ was stolen with all of her possessions inside, except for church paperwork and her cats — 13-year-old littermates. The trailer was recovered by Jackson County sheriff’s detectives Tuesday night, but Tyler’s personal items — from clothing and bedding to cookware — were gone. She was especially upset at the loss of a field communion kit handed down to her from her dad’s Army chaplain days, and a pie plate that had belonged to her mother. “Almost all of my belongings were inside including my clothes, sentimental items, dishes, bedding … everything that I had was in the trailer,” she said. Tyler’s daughter has set up a GoFundMe campaign for people interested in helping replace necessities. As of Tuesday evening, the campaign had raised $4,725.
