During the proceedings, prosecutors showed a photo of Tsarnaev, 21, standing in his jail cell flipping off a surveillance camera, and said it showed Tsarnaev is “unrepentant” for his actions. Meanwhile families of several bombing victims have come forward to lobby for Tsarnaev to spend life in prison but to not to be executed. QUOTE OF NOTE "This is a big step forward to getting what we are ultimately seeking: the right to bodily liberty for chimpanzees and other cognitively complex animals," Natalie Prosin , the executive director of the Nonhuman Rights Project, said about a New York court’s determination that two chimps held at SUNY Stony Brook for biomedical experimentation were being unlawfully detained and should be treated like humans.
