Fiegi scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss to Willamette, then contributed 17 points and 10 boards in a losing effort against Linfield. The 6-foot-9 freshman post, who is averaging a team-best 22.7 points and 9.4 rebounds through nine games, was 12-for-23 from the field and 16-of-18 from the foul line in the tournament. Running Medford’s Danielle Jordan placed 18th overall and was the second highest Oregon finisher in the girls seeded race at the Foot Locker West Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Jordan finished with a time of 18 minutes, 58 seconds for 5,000 meters and was only nine seconds from a top-10 finish. She earned third-team all-Western U.S. honors. Eugene’s Erin Gray, the Class 4A state champion, was the highest finisher from Oregon with an 11th-place standing. Grants Pass’ Brittany Hodgson finished 136th in 22:20. In the boys featured race, Ashland’s David Richardson (17:11) took 107th and Andrew Wright (17:32) finish 131st. Klamath Falls’ Lauren Jespersen was fifth the qualified for nationals. Bowling Gary Roberts shot the high series and game in the RVBA-RVBWA Tournament held at Roxy Ann Lanes. Roberts and his doubles partner, Mony Bristow, took first in the event with Roberts rolling a 300 game and an 813 series. Kelly Swope rolled a 297 game in the Commercial League at Medford Lanes Dec. 4 Swope left three pins on his final approach after rolling 11 consecutive strikes. Roseann Glover bowled a 232 game in the Sunshine League at Roxy Ann Lanes on Dec. 4. Chuck Eilenberger won the Southern Oregon All Stars Tournament at Showtime Family Lanes in Grants Pass. Eilenberger defeated Klamath Falls’ Jeff Cox, 217-215, in the final. Golf David McCord aced the second hole at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Dec. 4. McCord used a 9-iron on the 136-yard hole. The shot was witnessed by Fred Chung, Gordy Carrigan and Cy Perkins.
