Grants Pass caffeine purveyor Dutch Bros. Coffee was the region's top player, based on revenue. The 24-year-old coffee retailer, led by Travis Boersma, jumped 11 spots to No. 30, with revenue on the lower end of the $1 billion to $250 million category. The company has 3,000 employees in Oregon and 4,750 overall. Sherm's Thunderbird Market, which operates Food 4 Less in Medford as well, was No. 43, down one spot from 2015, in the middle of the $150 million to $250 million category. Sherm Olsrud founded the company, which has 615 employees, in 1967. Central Point trucking firm Combined Transport, led by Mike Card, fell four spots to No. 64 and was in the middle of the $100 million to $150 million category. The 36-year-old company has 285 employees in Oregon and 595 system wide. Ashland builder Adroit Construction dropped four spots to No. 77, appearing in the middle of the $75 million to $100 million category. Steve Lawrence and Bob Mayers are the owners of the firm, founded in 1979 with 100 employees. Ashland auto retailer Butler Automotive Group climbed 11 spots to No. 83, coming in near the top of the $50 million to $75 million category. The company, led by Chuck Butler, was founded in 1976 and has 100 employees. Cascade Wood Products rose two spots to No. 94 and was in the middle of the $50 million to $75 million category. Gary Moore is president of the 63-year-old White City forest products company that has 300 employees in Oregon and 460 overall. Ashland-based PLEXIS Healthcare Systems remained at No. 138, in the less than $50 million revenue range. The technology company, founded in 1996, is led by Jorge Yant and has 84 in-state employees and 96 overall. Oregon Business said revenue from its Private 150 list declined 6 percent from the previous year with some sectors showing growth and others struggling. The Private 150 combined for $36.1 billion in revenue. The magazine cited the headquarters shift of longtime revenue leader, door and window manufacturer JELD-WEN, from Klamath Falls to Charlotte, N.C., and pending closure of steel parts makers ESCO Corp.'s main Portland plant for the the overall decline.
