The event is sponsored by the Medford Cruise Association, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that over the past three decades has donated more than $380,000 to area youth organizations. In this year's events, proud car owners can show off their rides at the weekday show-n-shines, with payment of a $5 fee. The shows begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Placement of show cars will begin at 4 p.m. Awards and trophies are given at each of the show-n-shines. Here is the schedule: Pacific Power Chevy Show, Tuesday, June 14, at Lava Lanes, 2980 Crater Lake Highway. This event also includes the Medford Cruise Karaoke Contest from 7 to 10 p.m. Northwest Autohaus Sports Car Show, Wednesday, June 15, at Rogue Credit Union South Medford, 1370 Center Drive. Lithia Superstore MOPAR Show, Thursday, June 16, at the Lithia Superstore, 4540 Grumman Drive, off Highway 62. Scott Valley Bank Ford Show, Friday, June 17, at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park, 334 Holmes Ave., just off Stewart Ave. Scott Valley Bank Hot Rod Show, all years, makes and models, Friday, June 17, at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. Other events include: Friday, June 17 Southern Oregon Signs Poker Run, also known as the Heritage Tour, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will start at Punky’s Diner in the Medford Center and follow Highway 66 to the Greensprings, with visits to the Green Springs Inn, Tub Springs and Hyatt Lake Resort. The tour will return via Dead Indian Memorial Road. Participants should arrive by 7 a.m.; anyone in any vehicle is invited to participate. Registration and packet pickup for Saturday's show-n-shines are at Punky’s Diner in the Medford Center from 7 to 10 a.m. and at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Coquille Indian Tribe Concert in the Park featuring live music: "The La Bamba Show — a tribute to Ritchie Valens." The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. The Lava Lanes Stoplight Drags: 1979 and Older Drags start at 4 p.m. at Champion Raceway in the Jackson County Sports Park and go until all drags are completed. Gates open at 2 p.m. Cost is $35 to drag — check in begins at 3 p.m. — or $12 to watch. Kids 6 and younger are admitted free. Saturday, June 18 Registration and packet pick-up, 7-10 a.m. at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. The Ed’s Point S Tire and Auto Service '79 & Older Show-n-Shine, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. Cost is $50 to show, which includes registration in the downtown cruise. It is free to attend. The city of Medford '80 & Newer Show-n-Shine, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. Cost is $30 to show; free to attend. Entries open to all, including motorcycles, trucks, cars, boats, SUVs and even bicycles. Trophies will be awarded. The 31st annual Rogue Credit Union Downtown Cruise. The 1979 and older show cars will circle downtown Medford from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $50 to cruise a vehicle; the event is free to attend. Vehicle registration is at Heritage Motors, 419 N. Central Ave., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Rogue Credit Union/Medford Parks & Rec Movie in the Park, showing the classic “Herbie the Love Bug” at dusk in Fichtner-Mainwaring Park. The movie is free and movie-goers can sit on the lawn or watch the show from their cars in classic drive-in style. For information, times and locations, see www.medfordcruise.org .
