Zero-interest loans available from county The Housing Authority of Jackson County is offering zero-interest repair loans to help low-income residents. Funds are available for residents of Medford, Ashland and unincorporated areas of Jackson County. The program guidelines are: - Applicants must be low income. Example: the income of a one-person household must be less than $22,600; a two-person household less than $25,850; a three-person household less than $29,100; a four-person household less than $32,300; and a five-person household less than $34,900. - The home must be owner-occupied. The program is offered as a deferred-payment, zero-interest loan. No repayments are required unless the home is sold. For more information, call the Housing Rehabilitation Department at 779-6186.
