A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Meeker Saturday on charges of possession of amphetamines and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Saturday night on $9,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Joseph Gorbach, 21, no address listed. Medford police arrested Gorbach on a warrant charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail on $5,000 bail, then released because of crowded conditions. Drugs — Jashua Amin Rahman Jr., 22, of the 300 block of Haven Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Rahman Saturday on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail on $5,000 bail, then released because of crowded conditions. Burglary — Erik Damian Copeland, 21, of Portland. Federal agents arrested Copeland Saturday on warrants charging him with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, second- degree criminal mischief, and failure to appear on various charges, as well as charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and giving false information about a vehicle. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $55,000 bail. Arson — Leif Eric Sword, 21, of the 2800 block of Cummins Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Sword Saturday on charges of first-degree arson, attempted first-degree arson and first-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail on $35,000 bail. Fire calls House fire — 525 S. Grape St., Medford. Smoke pouring from the eaves and dormer of a home being remodeled engulfed a neighborhood south of downtown about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The Medford Fire Department sent three engines, a ladder truck and 14 firefighters to prevent its spread. Accidents Head-on collision — 11100 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. A semi-truck and another vehicle collided about 11:25 a.m. Saturday. One injured person was transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center by helicopter and another was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No other information was available from the Jackson County sheriff’s office. , which responded to the crash.
