Jackson County Jail records show Santiago Flores-Loveland, 18, was lodged in jail Wednesday. He was arraigned Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of riot and conspiracy to commit assault, charges on which he was indicted in September. His bail was set at $30,000. The Jackson County District Attorney's Office and Medford police said Flores-Loveland was extradited from California Wednesday after serving jail time for the unrelated charge. Police have said Flores-Loveland — whose hyphenated last name also sometimes appears reversed in court records — was present during a Sept. 16 shooting at a Narregan Street apartment complex in west Medford. Prior to the shooting, two groups were reportedly arguing outside the complex. The shooter, Tyler Jesse Sandoval, 18, of Phoenix, was sentenced to more than seven years in prison last month for firing three shots into an apartment stairwell during the argument. No one was injured, though several people, including a 6-year-old child, were nearby. Two of the bullets went into an apartment wall. The third shot was a blank, prosecutors said. Sandoval, who turned 18 last week, was prosecuted as an adult. He pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder April 25. Co-defendant Latraveon Deshawn Wesley, 19, also was found guilty on two counts of riot and was sentenced April 26 to 25 months in prison. Co-defendant Alonzo Lee McBrown was convicted on charges of riot and conspiracy to commit assault after pleading no contest to the charges, also on April 26, records show.
