Medford police added a first-degree theft charge Saturday while Plechner remained in the Jackson County Jail after he was arrested Thursday on a charge of aggravated first-degree theft. The new charge carries a $15,000 bail, and Plechner remained in jail Saturday night Assault — Marc Harrison Miller, 20, of the 7700 block of Colonial Way, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Miller Saturday on charges of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $37,000 bail. Assault — Robert Lawrence George, 22, of the 400 block of South Street, Butte Falls. A sheriff’s deputy arrested George Saturday on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $33,000 bail. Assault — James Peter Severe, 21, of the 500 block of South Street, Butte Falls. A sheriff’s deputy arrested Sever Saturday on charges of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $37,000 bail. Burglary — Robert James Shellabarger, 31, of the 700 block of Alder Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Shellabarger on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $29,000 bail. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 2700 block of Birkshire Court, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of golf clubs and a compact disk player with a total estimated value of $2,000. Theft — 1900 block of Orinda Circle, Medford. Medford police took a report Thursday of a theft of a stereo, speakers and compact disks. The items reported stolen had a total estimated value of $1,500. Theft — 2400 block of Salyer Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of a theft of a handgun valued at $99. Vandalism — 1300 block of Kaye Street, Medford. Medford police took a report Saturday of $1,000 worth of damage to a parked vehicle. Indecency — 2300 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies responded Saturday when an employee at Full of Beanz Espresso complained that a man at the coffee drive-through had made lewd comments and exposed himself. They arrested Michael James Davis, 19, of the 600 Black Oak Drive, Medford, on charges of indecency and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $7,000 bail. Animal problem — 3200 block of Springbrook Road, Medford. Medford police surrounded an adult cougar in a tree. Officers were at the scene into the night and no additional information was available by press time.
