Since You Asked: Panera Bread tight-lipped about expansion plans Thursday Jan 26, 2017 at 12:01 AM Will the Rogue Valley get a Panera Bread in the near future? — Larry   Sorry, Larry, but Panera Bread is remaining mum about whether it has any plans to open a restaurant in our area. The Mail Tribune submitted multiple media inquiries to the Panera Bread media relations department starting on Monday, Jan. 16, but never received a response after more than a week of waiting. The company does provide a stock non-answer on its website for people interested in knowing whether a restaurant is opening in their area. It reads, "We are continually developing bakery-cafes across the country and many new areas are already under consideration by our real estate and development teams. We really appreciate your interest in our company’s growth. While we're unable to share specific locations under consideration, please watch out for new development in your neighborhood." The message continues, "If you see that a Panera Bread bakery-cafe location is under construction with a 'Coming Soon' sign, you'll be able to visit us and enjoy all of your Panera favorites in a matter of weeks.
