Animal shelter needs food, toys, and other donations By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Dec 03, 2021 10:36 AM A A file photo The Jackson County Animal Shelter is asking for a variety of items for animals under its care this holiday season. The shelter is looking for high quality dog food, including Diamond Naturals from the Grange Co-op, Blue Wilderness, Nutra Pro, Nutro, and Taste of the Wild. For cats, the shelter accepts dry and canned food free of red dye, Diamond Naturals, Purina Kitten Chow, Blue Buffalo and Royal Canin. Donations must be new and sealed. New cat and dog toys, along with fleece blankets, flat sheets, and bath towels also are needed. Donations can be dropped off between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 5595 S. Pacific Highway 99, Phoenix.
