Police continue inquiry of Repp murder Husband Gary Repp Jr. did not leave with his Oregon National Guard unit as scheduled By SARAH LEMON CENTRAL POINT - Police again combed the residence of Kerry Michele Repp on Thursday, searching for additional clues in her slaying. Repp's husband, 32-year-old Gary Marvin Repp Jr., named a "person of interest" in the case, did not leave Medford with his Oregon National Guard unit Thursday as scheduled. Police said they haven't identified any suspects in the case. In addition to Gary Repp, police are considering several other persons of interest, none of whom were named. Based on Tuesday's autopsy results, investigators requested another search warrant for the Repps' Hazel Street home where Kerry Repp was found shot Saturday afternoon, said Central Point police Chief Mike Sweeny. The autopsy showed that Kerry Repp - 29 years old and three-months pregnant - was shot more than once with a handgun found near her body Saturday afternoon, Sweeny said. Investigators cannot discuss items listed on the search warrant or any items seized at the Repp's home, Sweeny said. However, police are not seeking any other weapons in connection with the homicide, he said. Although they haven't identified suspects, detectives are close to establishing a timeline in Kerry Repp's death, Sweeny said. Police also are concentrating on eliminating persons of interest, Sweeny said. If they can't be eliminated, they are considered suspects, he added. Neither Gary Repp nor his family would comment on the case. Kerry Repp's family also declined comment. The National Guard had planned on keeping back Capt. Gary Repp, no matter how the case pans out, said Maj. Jeff Julum, spokesman for the Guard in Salem. "He's not leaving; we don't do that," Julum said. However, Repp is still a National Guardsman and retains his current status, Julum said. A state trooper in training, Gary Repp was on leave without pay from the Oregon State Police because he was scheduled to deploy with the Guard. Although he stayed behind, Gary Repp's status with OSP hasn't changed, said Lt. Dan Durbin. Gary Repp has been in contact with officers at OSP regional headquarters in Central Point but hasn't asked to resume his training, Durbin added. Kerry Repp had filed for divorce last month, but the court papers were never served and the couple was living together trying to reconcile. Gary Repp was at a T-ball game with the couple's two children when his wife's body was found, police said. A memorial service for Kerry Repp is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Road, Medford.
