Reception this evening honors retiring SOU faculty members ASHLAND -- Southern Oregon University will honor 12 retiring faculty members and an Oregon Health Sciences University nursing professor at a reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today in the Stevenson Union Redford Lounge. Retirees are Rodney Badger, professor of chemistry; Al Blaszak, director of admissions and records; Ed Brierty, professor of business; Joe Brown, professor of health and physical education; Jerry Cooper, professor of marketing/business; Stephen Cross, professor of biology; Mary-Curtis Gramley, associate professor of education; Tom Hitzelberger, professor of marketing/business; David Hoffman, professor of education; Richard Montgomery, professor of mathematics; Ron Nitsos, professor of biology; Harold Otness, distance learning librarian; and Barbara Irvin, professor of nursing at the OHSU nursing program at SOU.
