The piece is full of scenes of live, gripping emotion, true comedy, as well as keen thrusts at the foibles of today, and is said to contain more laughs to the minute than any other stage presentation, and Miss Robson, who never disappoints an audience, is said to be inimitable in the stellar role. The production carried by the star will be found thoroughly adequate, and the environments and surroundings are said to be of a high order. Miss Robson's gownings are said to be the latest and up-to-the-minute creations of noted feminine dress builders. LOCAL AND PERSONAL Louis Davis succeeded in getting the Ford automobile of John Graffis back onto the grade of the road to the Blue Ledge and bringing it to the city with its own power. That is the car that backed off of the road to the Blue Ledge mine on Sunday and was saved from a plunge of 300 feet into the Applegate river only by landing against a snag at the upper edge of the precipice. No one was hurt. J. H. Malachay, assistant general freight agent of the Southern Pacific at Portland, and well known in Medford, has been promoted to be assistant general freight agent in charge of interstate commerce matters with headquarters at San Francisco. He will be succeeded by W. F. Miller, now superintendent of the Coos Bay, Roseburg & Eastern at Marshfield. A ton of very attractive copper ore arrived this morning from the Great Eastern mine in the Squaw creek district, having been hauled down by team. This mine, a recent discovery, is located on the Oregon side in the Blue Ledge district, and is owned by Bruce Buch and associates. A ton of the ore is being shipped to the U. S. smelter at Kennett, Cal., to be tested as to values. Local miners pronounce it rich ore.
