http://www.omniture.com --> Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Advertisement Email Story to a Friend May 4, 2006 Medford man faces porn-related charges A Medford man is in jail on multiple pornography-related charges after investigators on the trail of child porn found he had hidden a digital video camera in the bathroom of Advantage Mail Service, a business he owned. Medford police arrested Gregory Michael Thompson, 34, Wednesday on 11 counts each of first- and second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and 12 counts of private indecency. Detective Phil Steigleder said the investigation stemmed from a 2003 federal sting called Operation Falcon that served a warrant on a dot-com company suspected of selling child pornography. Information on customers of the company's Web site was released to local Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who worked with Medford and Central Point police to contact Thompson last month. After interviewing him, investigators seized computers from Advantage Mail Service, 679 Bryan Way, Medford. Josh Moulin, a detective with Central Point's high-tech crimes unit, sifted through the files and found child pornography and photos of women using a public restroom in a business. Investigators got another warrant and found a digital video camera hidden in the wall in the women's bathroom at Advantage Mail Service. "We're still trying to determine whether Thompson was trading the pictures online, and how he got a hold of some of the photos in the first place," Sgt. Brett Johnson said. The child pornography led to the encouraging child sexual abuse charges and the hidden camera footage resulted in the private indecency charges, officials explained.
