Marsh Valley, an Idaho-based team, scored single runs in the third and fifth innings to seal the win. The Royals pushed their first run across in the third on a Nick Staller sacrifice fly that plated Shasta Bateman. In the fourth, North Jackson cut the deficit to 3-2 but couldn’t fully capitalize on a no out, bases loaded situation. Bateman reached base three times — two via the walk — to lead North Jackson, which finished the tournament 4-2 and stands at 17-7 overall.
