West Medford Dutch Bros robbed Tuesday Dec 19, 2017 at 9:55 AM Dec 19, 2017 at 9:55 AM Ryan Pfeil Mail Tribune @RyanPfeil Medford police are searching for a suspect in a Dutch Bros robbery in west Medford Monday night, and investigators say it could be linked to a similar robbery about two weeks ago. The robbery occurred at 6:15 p.m. at the stand located at the intersection of West McAndrews Road and Summit Avenue, said Lt. Kerry Curtis with Medford police. Two employees were in the stand at the time. A man approached the window and ordered a drink, then quickly stated he wanted all of the money, police said. "His right hand was in his pocket the whole time, so the barista believed that he may have had a weapon, but there was no mention of a weapon, and no weapon was seen," Curtis said. The employees obliged, and the man fled with the money south on Summit Avenue. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 40s. He is about 6 feet tall and wore a black jacket or sweatshirt with the hood up. He had brown scruffy facial hair and wore a white bandana around his neck, police said. Police believe the case could be tied to a similar robbery on Dec. 3. In that case, a man approached the Dutch Bros window at Stewart and Columbus avenues and aggressively asked for money. As with the most recent robbery, the suspect concealed one of his hands in his clothing and wore a black jacket or sweatshirt, based on surveillance video. There have been four coffee stand robberies in Medford this year. The Dutch Bros stand at Stewart and Columbus was also robbed Jan. 17 and a Human Bean stand on East Barnett Road was robbed March 8, according to Medford police records.
