Troops throughout the Rogue Valley will get the 37,000 boxes this week. Mail Tribune / Roy Musitelli Girl Scout cookies on the way Homer Simpson would be giddy with anticipation. Cookies by the hundreds of thousands, from Thin Mints to Tagalongs and Samoas, are fanning out in the Rogue Valley for annual cookie sales that run from Saturday through March 13. Girl Scouts of Winema Council serving Southern Oregon and Northern California will have its annual sales at locations throughout the area. The local Girl Scout Council uses the money the cookie sales raise to provide resident camps, special skills and educational programming, as well as for Scout assistance and leader training and to support troop programs .
