Smoke near Talent from controlled burn Saturday Jun 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM Jun 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM Large plumes of smoke visible near Talent are part of a Bureau of Land Management controlled burn. Oregon Department of Forestry spokeswoman Melissa Cano said there's no wildfire. Rather, the Medford BLM is targeting underbrush in an 80-acre controlled burn on Holton Road near Talent. "It's not an ODF wildfire," Cano said. The burn will be visible from several parts of the Rogue Valley, and is anticipated to last most of the day.
