DSC Position Polling with 
FM-3000 and NavNet VX2 



When any NavNet VX2 display is connected to the FM-3000 VHF radio, DSC 
position reports can be received from another DSC capable VHF transceiver, then 
shown on VX2's plotter as a waypoint. This capability allows two or more vessels 
to transmit their position to each other via VHF, then record that position 
information as a waypoint on the VX2's plotter.

Plotter to Center Conductor (+) and Green wire 
from plotter to outer (-)

Use Optional 000-117-603 Cable to connect the VX2 to 
the RCA type connectors on the back of the FM-3000. 
Set the VX2's NMEA port to output RMC and GGA.
