FM TRANSMITTER AT MANGALORE

Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state: 


(a) Whether a 0 KW FM transmitter project at Mangalore (Karnataka) is scheduled to be commissioned during the current year; 
(b) If so, the present status of work of the project; 
(c) Whether the same will be commissioned on schedule; and 


(d) If so, the reasons for delay and the steps taken for early commissioning of the project? 


Answer 
THE MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY ®FORMATION AND BROADCASTING AND MINISTERSOATE OF THE 
MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (SHRI ARUN JAITLEY) 


(a): Yes Sir. A 0 KW FM transmitter is to be installed at AIR, Mangaloreas a replacement for the existing KW MW Transmitter and 
is scheduled for commissioning in the year 2000-200. 


(b): The installation work is in progress and the order for transmitter is being placed. 
(c): All efforts are being made to complete the project on schedule. 


(d): Does not arise.
