SETTING UP OF FM TRANSMITTER

Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state: 


(a) whether a FM transmitter of ten kilowatt is being set up in Keonjhar district of Odisha; 
(b) if so, the details thereof; and 


(c) the time by which the transmitter is likely to be set up?

MANISH TEWARI) 


(a) & (b): Prasar Bharati has informed that a scheme amounting to Rs. 3.13 Crore for replacement of existing 1 kW MW Transmitter 
with 10 kW FM Transmitter in Keonjhar district of Odisha was approved under "New Scheme" of 11th Plan on 29.04.2010, which is 
under implementation. 


(c): The FM Transmitter is likely to be set up by March, 2015.
