FM RADIO STATION AT JUNAGADH

Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state: 


(a) whether decision for setting up of FM Radio Station at Junagadh was taken up long back; 
(b) if so, the exact cost and progress made so far in setting up of the FM station; and 


(c) the time by which it is likely to start functioning?

THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING (SMT. SUSHMA SWARAJ) 


(a), (०) & (०) : A proposal to set up FM Radio Station at Junagarh was included in the 9thPlan. Prasar Bharati has informed that the 
site has been acquired and fenced at a cost of Rs. 16.95 lakhs. It is not possible to give a specific time frame for starting the Station 
since Prasar Bharati has other on-going commitments, which have to be completed.
