Will the Minister of INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state: 


(a) Whether the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has sent any proposal for setting up of a new FM Radio in Nellore District of the 
State exclusively for the benefit of fishermen community; 


(b) if so, the details thereof; and 


(c) the action taken by the Government thereon?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING (DR.S.JAGATHRAKSHAKAN) 

(a): Prasar Bharati has informed that no proposal has been received from Government of Andhra Pradesh for a new FM Radio in 
Nellore District of the State exclusively for the benefit of fishermen community. However, a 00 Watt FM Transmitter approved under 
"New Scheme" of 7/th Plan is being installed at existing LPTV site, which is likely to be completed during this year. 


(b) & (c): Does not arise.
