Principal Investigator: JULIE AKE Organization: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ALLERGY AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES Fiscal Year: 2020 Award: $22,000,000 Funding agency: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases The NIAID Division of AIDS and the U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP), Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC) remain committed to the common objective of developing a safe and effective vaccine for HIV/AIDS. The Agencies recognize the potential utility of an HIV/AIDS vaccine in stopping the global HIV/AIDS epidemic and the need to conduct and support basic science, preclinical development, and both vaccine and non-vaccine clinical research in developing countries where the epidemic is most prevalent. This Agreement covers the following scope of work: • design and construction of candidate HIV vaccines • pre-clinical research and development, including evaluation of candidate vaccines • pilot lot production • clinical site development including cohort characterization • phase 1-3 human clinical safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy testing • other clinical and epidemiological research studies that support HIV vaccine development Terms: <21+ years old><AIDS><AIDS Virus><AIDS/HIV><AIDS/HIV problem><ALVAC><ALVAC Canarypox Vector><Acquired Immune Deficiency><Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome><Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome Virus><Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome><Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome><Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome Virus><Acquired Immunologic Deficiency Syndrome><Active Follow-up><Acute><Adult><Adult Human><African><Agonist><Agreement><Antigens><Armed Forces Personnel><Basic Research><Basic Science><Blood><Blood Reticuloendothelial System><Body Tissues><Characteristics><Clinical><Clinical Research><Clinical Study><Clinical Trials><Closed Cohort Studies><Cohort Studies><Concurrent Studies><County><DNA Vaccines><Data><Developing Countries><Developing Nations><Development><Development and Research><Disease remission><Environment><Epidemic><Epidemiologic Research><Epidemiologic Studies><Epidemiological Studies><Epidemiology Research><Evaluation><Funding><Future><Germany><HIV><HIV Infections><HIV diagnosis><HIV vaccine><HIV-1><HIV-I><HIV/AIDS><HIV/AIDS Vaccines><HIV/AIDS problem><HIV/STD><HIV/STI><HIV1><HTLV-III Infections><HTLV-III-LAV Infections><Hu-mABs><Human><Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1><Human Immunodeficiency Viruses><Human T-Lymphotropic Virus Type III Infections><Human immunodeficiency virus 1><IL-15 binding protein><IL-15 receptor><IL-15R><Immunization><Immunochemical Immunologic><Immunologic><Immunologic Sensitization><Immunologic Stimulation><Immunological><Immunological Sensitization><Immunological Stimulation><Immunologically><Immunologics><Immunostimulation><Incidence><Individual><International><Interruption><Intervention><Intervention Strategies><Intervention Trial><Interventional trial><Intravenous><Kenya><Kinetics><Knowledge><LAV-HTLV-III><Laboratories><Less-Developed Countries><Less-Developed Nations><Logistics><Lymph Node Reticuloendothelial System><Lymph node proper><Lymphadenopathy-Associated Virus><Lymphatic nodes><M mulatta><M. mulatta><Macaca mulatta><Medical Research><Memory B Cell><Memory B-Lymphocyte><Military><Military Personnel><Modern Man><Monoclonal Antibody Therapy><Mosaicism><NIAID><Naked DNA Vaccines><National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease><Observation research><Observation study><Observational Study><Observational research><Participant><Persons><Phase><Populations at Risk><Prevalence><Prevention><Production><Protocol><Protocols documentation><R & D><R&D><RNA vaccine><Recombinant DNA Vaccines><Remission><Research><Research Institute><Rhesus Macaque><Rhesus Monkey><Risk Factors><SHIV><STD/HIV><STI/HIV><Safety><Sampling><Ships><Site><Specimen Handling><Specimen Processing><Structure><TLR7><TLR7 gene><TLR8><TLR8 gene><Thailand><Therapeutic Intervention><Third-World Countries><Third-World Nations><Tissues><Toll-Like Receptor 7><Toll-Like Receptor 8><Treatment Protocols><Treatment Regimen><Treatment Schedule><Under-Developed Countries><Under-Developed Nations><Vaccines><Viral Diseases><Virus Diseases><Virus-HIV><Work><active followup><acute infection><adulthood><clinical research site><clinical site><cohort><depository><design and construct><design and construction><develop a vaccine><developing country><developing nation><development of a vaccine><developmental><efficacy testing><efficacy trial><epidemiologic investigation><epidemiology study><follow up><follow-up><followed up><followup><humAbs><human immunodeficiency virus vaccine><human mAbs><human monoclonal antibodies><human monoclonals><immunogen><immunogenicity><improved><infrastructure development><interleukin-15 receptor><intervention therapy><interventional strategy><lymph gland><lymph nodes><lymphnodes><mAb therapy><mRNA vaccine><migration><mosaic disorders><neutralizing mAb><neutralizing monoclonal antibodies><non-human primate><nonhuman primate><operation><pilot lot production><pre-clinical development><pre-clinical research><preclinical development><preclinical research><programs><prospective><recruit><repository><research and development><research study><safety study><simian HIV><simian human immunodeficiency virus><stability testing><tech development><technology development><therapeutic vaccine><treatment vaccines><vaccination study><vaccination trial><vaccine candidate><vaccine development><vaccine efficacy><vaccine for the treatment><vaccine for treatment><vaccine formulation><vaccine study><vaccine trial><viral infection><virology><virus infection><virus-induced disease><volunteer><willingness>
