The Vaccine Research Center (VRC) mission and scope includes rapidly moving clinical candidates from the research bench through development and GMP manufacturing to the clinic. The VRC is exploring a wide range of initiatives, including but not limited to new technologies which would decrease the time between candidate discovery and first-in-human clinical trials. These initiatives will allow VRC and NIAID to quickly assess clinical stage products for safety and efficacy and to expedite the production and supply of investigational products to the field during public health emergencies.
