The evaluation of a vaccine candidate targeting COVID-19 and collection of samples to support translational immunology research support the broader VRC mission. For this project, sample collection was conducted under the VRC 200 protocol while the evaluation of an investigational vaccine candidate was conducted under the DMID 20-0003 protocol.

VRC 200: A Multicenter Specimen Collection Protocol to Obtain Human Biological Samples for Research Studies

DMID 20-0003: Phase I, Open-Label, Dose-Ranging Study of the Safety and Immunogenicity of 2019-nCoV Vaccine (mRNA-1273) in Healthy Adults
