Strategy CC-4. Engage with other
governments and organizations around
regional, statewide, national, and
international climate policy and action.
The City of Ashland can learn from the experience of
others, and a larger, unified coalition can be more
powerful. This strategy involves coordinating with other
local governments that have set ambitious climate
targets, such as Eugene, Portland, Seattle, and Fort
Collins, to learn from their experiences, share best
practices, and together advocate for broader regional,
state, and national action and leadership.
CC-4-1. Engage with other
governments and organizations
around regional, statewide, national,
and international climate policy and
action.
Ashland should continue to collaborate with
neighboring cities to share information and
foster coordinated and unified action. The City
should lead and pursue a partnership model,
such as the King County-Cities Climate Collab -
oration in Washington State, to coordinate and
enhance the effectiveness of local government
climate and sustainability action within its
region.

AdCC-3-3. Include consideration
and perpetuation of climate
action goals within the scope of
every appropriate City Advisory
Commission.
There are a variety of existing City Commis -
sions that focus on topics related to climate
change. This action involves making an explicit
connection to the role of climate change in the
purview of these Commissions, and formaliz -
ing the inclusion of climate considerations and
goals into the activities and objectives of those
Commissions. M
