• In re Jeffrey Epstein, 2018R01618 (AUSAs •
Along with the FBI, we are investigating allegations that, over the course of a
decade or more, Jeffrey Epstein sexual abused dozens of minors, including
minors who were transported to/from New York for the purpose of being
sexually abused. In 2008, Epstein resolved a then-pending federal investigation
being run by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida
with a Non-Prosecution Agreement (the "Florida NPA"). The Florida NPA,
which is by its terms binding only that office, purported to immunize not only
Epstein, but a number of his alleged co-conspirators, including a "booker"
based in New York and responsible for scheduling Epstein's "massages" with
under-aged girls. With the assistance of the FBI, we have obtained and are
reviewing various documents from the original investigation, and are beginning
to identify victims based in New York. We also plan to begin looking into
complaints and allegations of potential misconduct that post-date the Florida
NPA.
